Selective Rule
Enforcement is causing Small Sellers Big Problems |
||
We
have been getting several reports from eBay users about unfair
practices when canceling auctions. It seems the unfair practices are also connected to power sellers who
turn in items that are infringements of some eBay rule.eBay ends the auction while leaving identical items
from select power
sellers with the exact infringement that the small sellers auction was canceled
for.It would seem eBay started the power seller
program for the purpose of weeding out the people who sell small
quantities and don't qualify for power seller status. The
ebay fees from small sellers are a very small % of eBay's income. They would rather have only power sellers and buyers that use
paypal and continue to undermine legislators with lobbyists and Law Enforcement by not policing
their site for obvious
frauds and not detecting them until the money is gone from the buyers pocket.Be
buck sure that eBay does not allow
sellers to list items for free, they have a sure way to get their fees
from every seller, even if the buyer was defrauded. Just
one of the reports is pasted in below with the username removed for protection from the thought police at eBay and the many
eBay
censors. I listed an item and within the hour eBay pulled it!BINGO,another aspect of eBay to consider before deciding whether to join the auction giant. My guess is that in the end that eBay will drive the power sellers away when the regular buyers and sellers that built ebay leave for SYI.com,Amazon or Yahoo auctions.I only hope when the powersellers move to another auction site,we here at Ad Scams can be able to track them and add their new username to our database so the good people who helped build the online auction site are never bothered by a power seller again. by khill05,(Ad ScamsWebmaster),04,07,2007 Next Scam News story by khill05 |
